Process Story Telling

If you can breathe, you can inspire a story. If you have a heart beat, you can give story life. If you can move a single muscle, you can move the world with story. If you can produce a thought, you can ignite a story. If you can feel, you can create meaning for story. If you have DNA, you have been shaped by story. A body is a container filled with story. You are a story. A process. A growing imagination that needs, like food and air, story to exist.

This brings us to the story of pain. A shared experience we all experience in a body. A body that we had no control over when cells divided and formed organs, organs encapsulated by skin, an envelope of skin that birthed through a canal, a caretaker that choose to love us or not. It has all happened within the parameters of nature. Meanwhile, within this sac of flesh, a mind has been observing. Trying to figure out what does this all mean.

The pain we experience is essential to unlocking what life means. It has a wave. It is part of nature. When mind is able to observe the wave of pain it takes a shape of a beginning, a middle, and an end. Pain initiates all stories. When our mind can catch the pain, notice it, pain instantly changes. This is what story has called the quest. An action that calls in the hero. Noticing pain begins a story to end pain.

When we allow the pain to move through our awareness, sensations travel through our nervous system. Our body becomes like a page we can read. Following the patterns of where pain goes. When pain moves it reveals what is inside. Pain is information. It is a wave of data that wants to tell our awareness something important. Allowing is the trail part of story. The hard to accept part of life. Emotions come up. Memories show up. Information that we have been keeping from our awareness crosses before us like a dragon. Like a demon. It can be like an enemy. Like an antagonist challenging our existence.

Right at the very peak, the middle of the pain wave, our mind experiences a spontaneous message. A healing elixir. An answer. A pathway through the woods. This spontaneous message is what the pain has been trying to get our awareness to pay attention to - a chance to listen and understand. When we listen to the message hidden in pain, it lessens. A physical release occurs. The tight and inflamed calm down. A bridge between nature and mind has been achieved. The hero who was called by pain, allowed pain a path of movement and faced trials, has now found the treasure. The message. Listening to the pain is resolution for story. The moment when the hero can regain strength. Heal and restore before the next final step.

Living the message - our hero returns to ordinary life in an extraordinary new awareness. Life isn’t the same now. The wave of pain has been lived. Information has been revealed. Enemies have been transformed into lessons. Emotions have undergone an alchemical exchange of intense for peaceful. Thoughts charged with pain have been challenged like a dragon or demon and now serve the kingdom called our body.

Pain, story, body. All a process found when nature and mind meet.

The purpose of our studio is to process storytelling so our imaginations continue to cycle through nature with more understanding, courage, and ultimately some good entertainment.
